We Understand You.

Selecting the right Obstetrician-Gynecologist is an important decision. After all, she’ll be the one who will help guide you through some of your life’s most important and emotional moments. Obviously, technical expertise in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology is important. But just as important is a doctor who will listen to you without judgment or embarrassment.

Dr. Rakhshani and her staff are just such professionals. As women themselves, they understand your unique needs and approach each patient with a personalized brand of medicine that is refreshing and reassuring. Individual attention, compassion, expertise…these are just a few of the things you can expect from OriGYN.

Giving birth is a highly personal and emotional experience – typically, the most life-changing event that will happen in a woman’s life.

At OriGYN, we’re dedicated to helping you grow the healthiest baby possible and giving you all the necessary tools to be a confident, happy mother. Dr. Rakhshani’s overarching goal is for you to have a safe and beautiful birth that you can remember with joy for the rest of your life.

Proper prenatal care – or the healthcare you get while you’re pregnant – can help keep you and your baby. A poor diet, smoking drinking alcohol, certain drugs, and some illnesses can hold back your baby’s development.

At OriGYN, we offer you and your baby the best prenatal care available, starting with proper and regular checkups. During your routine office visits, Dr. Rakhshani will perform routine checks, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, urine, fetal heartbeat, and uterine measurement. Once your baby is big enough, she will also monitor fetal movement and position.

Birth is such an emotional and life-changing event. We want it to be special, and yet have so many fears going into it.   Dr. Rakhshani’s ultimate goal is to help you and your baby remain safe and healthy through the process, but she also wants you to be able to carry happy memories of your birth experience for years to come. To this end, she remains sensitive, supportive, and professional throughout the birth process.

After you give birth, your body goes through tremendous changes. For nine months it has cradled and cared for a growing baby, and then in a matter of hours, the baby is delivered. Is it any wonder a woman’s body may have a hard time bouncing back?

The postpartum phase lasts from delivery to about eight weeks. Dr. Rakhshani will keep close tabs on you through regular postpartum checkups to make sure your body is bouncing back, and that you don’t develop any complications or infections.

Exceptional healthcare is important at every stage of a woman’s life to keep us healthy, strong, happy, and active. And because each stage and every woman is unique, Dr. Rakhshani takes a personalized approach, addressing each patient with warmth, compassion, and expertise. She knows you have questions, and takes the time to talk with you and address any concerns you have.
